Mario Nawfal on X: Federal agents are reportedly digging through Ilhan Omar’s trash for DNA. And that’s not even the whole story.

Federal agents are reportedly digging through Ilhan Omar’s trash for DNA. And that’s not even the whole story. The New York Times reports that investigators seized her sister Sahra Noor’s phone and are examining private family messages as part of a possible immigration fraud investigation. NewsNation reports that agents also collected garbage, apparently looking for DNA evidence. What they hope to prove remains unclear. Omar’s home has already been searched under a warrant, and relatives have reportedly received grand jury subpoenas. She denies wrongdoing and calls the investigation politically motivated. A case involving immigration paperwork from 26 years ago is now reaching into family texts, private homes and even the garbage outside. Writer: Oliver
