Are we more aware of mental health than ever — or have we started treating ordinary emotions like illnesses? Michael Smerconish sits down with Dr. Tami Benton, Psychiatrist-in-Chief at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, to examine a provocative argument: Could America’s increased focus on mental health actually be contributing to more psychological distress? Benton pushes back on the idea that we’ve gone too far, while explaining the important difference between normal sadness or anxiety and a disorder that interferes with everyday life.
The conversation also turns to kids, social media, resilience, parenting and whether growing up today really is harder than it used to be. Chapter Advisory, LLC represents Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO, and PFFS organizations and stand alone prescription drug plans that have a Medicare contract. Enrollment depends on the plan’s contract renewal. While we have a database of every Medicare plan nationwide and can help you to search among all plans, we have contracts with many but not all plans. As a result, we do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 50 organizations which offer 18,160 products nationwide. We search and recommend all plans, even those we don’t directly offer. You can contact a licensed Chapter agent to find out the number of products available in your specific area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-Medicare, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
