🇷🇺🇩🇪 Lavrov: Germany’s actions are the “beginning of a real war”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov issued a stark warning over Germany’s accusations that Russia was responsible for the drone incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport:
“They found some drone. They said it was a Russian drone. Nobody bothered to investigate. This is, by and large, the beginning of a real war.”
Lavrov pointed to Berlin’s decision to close the Russian Consulate General in Bonn and the Russian House in Berlin, before drawing a historical comparison:
“I remember that before the beginning of the Second World War — the Great Patriotic War, rather — the Germans also closed their diplomatic missions.”
Germany has attributed the Leipzig incident to Russia; Moscow denies involvement and says the accusation is fabricated.
