🇳🇱🇺🇸🇬🇧 The Dutch have quietly moved 86 tonnes of gold OUT of North America… Between March and August, the Netherlands’ central bank shipped it from vaults in New York and Ottawa over to London, calling the move “crisis preparedness” in a world it sees as politically shaky. That dropped New York’s share of Dutch gold from ~31% down to 18.5%. London’s now the bigger holder. The bank says it’s not about distrust, though. Its governor says the real point is “tradability,” basically being able to sell quick if things go sideways, and says they don’t expect to ever need it.
