Pavee Point and the 35+ other regional Traveller support NGOs need to be stripped of all public funding. Same for the public funding to Irish universities to run courses like “Travellers, Rights and Nomadism” in UCD or “Undoing Traveller Exclusion: Exploring Radical Transformation in Schools 2” in UCC. NGOs and academics have been provided with staggering sums over the past 25 years for Traveller programmes with little more than a few DEI hires and howls of ‘prejudice’ against anyone asking questions to show for it.
