The USS Abraham Lincoln has spent roughly 250 consecutive days at sea supporting US operations linked to the war with Iran, with the USS George Washington now heading to the region as its expected replacement.
President Donald Trump’s war against Iran is stretching the limits of US aircraft carriers, with USS Abraham Lincoln having had its time at sea extended from its original May return date to support operations against Iran.
