Economy Historian: Why Ireland Will Soon be Poorer Than The UK. Is this Somalia?

Look at the ledgers of the World Bank, and you will find an island in the North Atlantic that is supposedly the wealthiest society on earth. According to headline data, Ireland boasts a GDP per capita higher than the United States, Switzerland, or Qatar. But if you look past the headlines and audit the actual ledgers, you realize that this wealth is a mathematical hallucination. In this macroeconomic documentary, we expose the reality of “Leprechaun Economics.” We explore how Ireland transformed itself into the “Delaware of Europe,” why its national budget is effectively a hostage of ten American tech corporations, and how the country’s catastrophic housing crisis is forcing a massive youth exodus. We break down the OECD Global Minimum Tax “asteroid” heading for the Irish economy and explain why, when the loophole finally closes, the Irish working class will face an economic cliff-edge that puts them in a far worse position than the stagnation of the UK. Ireland is not the wealthy superpower it claims to be. It is a highly vulnerable, two-tiered “company town” sitting on an unsustainable tax loophole. The bill is finally coming due. Topics Covered in this Documentary: The Mathematical Hallucination The Tangible Absurdity (The Two-Tiered Company Town) The Celtic Phoenix Trap (The Fiscal Hostage) The Cliff Edge (The Global Tax Asteroid)
