X UK HITS RUSSIA WITH BIGGEST SANCTIONS SINCE 2022 (Mario Nawfal 2 mn followers)

The UK just dropped 107 new sanctions on Russia, targeting Putin’s war machine, oil profits, and enablers bankrolling his invasion.

The crackdown hits foreign suppliers of missile parts, including firms in China, India, Turkey, and Central Asia. North Korea’s defense minister was also sanctioned for sending 11,000 troops to Russia—4,000 of whom didn’t make it back.

For the first time, the UK is sanctioning a foreign bank, Kyrgyzstan’s Keremet Bank, for helping Russia launder war money. The UK also blacklisted 40 more “shadow fleet” tankers sneaking Russian oil around sanctions—bringing the total to 133, the most in Europe.

Foreign Secretary, David Lammy: Every military supply line disrupted, every rouble blocked, and every enabler of Putin’s aggression exposed is a step towards a just and lasting peace, and towards security and prosperity in the UK as a part of this government’s Plan for Change. Lasting peace will only be achieved through strength. That is why we are focused on putting Ukraine in the strongest possible position.” Source: UK Government
