It is not seen as a disadvantage but having said that if it is acquired through TBI or say a stroke – the unknown becomes a tyrant because you just can’t visualise and when amnesia is added then it is helpful if your medical team can rehabilitate you or at least direct you towards the internet, which has been an essential component of coping skills for me and no doubt others.
