March Brain Awareness month: I would invite you to listen to people who entered what is sometimes called a “Silent Epidemic” so often regarded by your family with denial. There are others who understand. Search this site for articles relating to traumatic brain injury. My path was closer to Aisling although I was 32. A hurdle caused injury when I was going over a jump and thrown from the horse. I too can’t recall. Reaction: a husband who turned to other women; then it was he was in love with one who became pregnant. I am not bitter but I will never understand why I had to go through an acrimonious divorce while the Church granted them an annulment casting shame on me for having a TBI. Thankfully I have survived 30 years and life is good

Food, Energy, Climate are beyond choice, people are needy and some have while others strarve. Already 54 wars in the world, the highest ever, commercial markets are gone awry. The EU member farmers are feeling the impact, but not to the extent of the war torn countries of Sudan, Ethiopia (facing starvation), the Congo, Gaza, Yemen, and so many more. Ukraine which is being obliterated by the Russian invasion of two years ago now, has the potential of being breadbasket of Europe and yet it is being (which means farms in Europe will have to face more competititve prices and this is already impacting as farmers gather in protest). We can see the standard of our important vegetable and fruit supplies hindered. We need peace negotiations and then commodities will have the freedom to trade on free market principles.
