Intellectuals and Treason to the Ideals of the University. American academics are guilty of Treason. Recommend Niall Ferguson, Hoover Institute, Stanford. He has the courage to call out “Cancel Culture”. Woke is the destroyer. Discernment engagement, people are challenged to engage, to think, to be discerning.

“Misinformation/Disinformation” – major threat and added as same to the Davos list 2024. Ian Bremmer, GZERO speaks to Al Gore. We have excellent journalists but the traps of going down rabbit holes and being influenced by conspiracy theories are very real threats to US democracy. New terminology is not about “Artificial Intelligence” but more to do with “Artificial Insanity”. People must be more discerning about information. 2nd interview start creating your knowledge base about US Politics; the election; the guardrails; the challenge to Democracy. January 6th looked horrible but Republicans proved complacent. Recommend Francis Fukuyama … wisdom worth engaging with.

Why it’s so hard to end homelessness in America. Source: The Harvard Gazette. Comment: Time for Ireland and especially our politicians, in this election year and taking note of the 100,000+ thousand immigrants to land on our shore, we must Piggy back. There are many pitfalls to homelessness like poverty, absence of dual diagnosis, drug/alcohol addiction, veterans, drop-outs, and so many more especially when the policy was de-institutionalise those diagnosed with mental illness. Ireland: as we encounter problems with McVerry Trust who have successfully for decades improved the lives, similar to the narrative here, must be supported now, in their financial difficulties. We must learn from the research of others otherwise we will have more encampments than those seen presently at the canal, the Phoenix Park and now Lower Baggot Street. We need stop this now; piggy back on international research and create a system for those prone to homelessness to ensure they live (the reduced age of survival is a stark reminder of what poverty and homelessness can do to human beings) and can achieve supported lifestyles as provided by McVerry Trust and other AHB’s. Clarky Stephen Clarke who died recently opposite the Church in Dublin 2 was only 40 years old. Too young to die.

Injustice and poverty causes child sexual abuse by Fr Shay Cullen, Preda Organisation. (Philippines). Comment. Too often we hear our young children are addicted to porn, people are viewing images on their smartphones but do they ask who are the people often children they are salaciously viewing with nothing other than sex on their minds and their personal satisfaction. We need to understand that children in very poor countries are often used to film sex acts for their parents to sell to the illegal market. Shame on the people who view porn, especially young boys who are at school and who need lessons in morality not perverse sexual needs that leave them inadequate for a proper relationship with a partner later in life.
Injustice and poverty causes child sexual abuseFr. Shay Cullen 13 January 2024 The Philippines is a very rich country ruled by a rich elite of dynastic political families. Once they get into power, it is almost impossible to get them out … Continue reading
