Chronic Fatigue. Add it to those other illnesses that Stigma and Shame are associated with, in my case, Traumatic Brain Injury and Bipolar, and you have Chronic Fatigue to add to the list. 20+ years on I am now feeling younger by decades because at long last I am in recovery. Five years ago, TED Fellow Jennifer Brea became progressively ill with myalgic encephalomyelitis, commonly known as chronic fatigue syndrome, a debilitating illness that severely impairs normal activities and on bad days makes even the rustling of bed sheets unbearable.
